On a cold and rainy morning in NYC, I had to deliver 70lbs of stainless-steel bolts to a customer in Midtown Manhattan. These bolts would be used to upgrade Grand Central Terminal and I had to find the most efficient way to deliver them. Given the weather, and the logistics of navigating Midtown Manhattan, it didn’t make sense to deliver by truck. So I got creative. I loaded an old Army backpack with as much as would fit – 40 lbs – and I carried the rest by hand. First to the bus, then through Penn Station to the subway and finally to the customer. I caught a break when an escalator took me from the 7 train platform to meet the customer, but this is the level of commitment and customer service you can expect from Allied Equipment Services.

While our operations have evolved from those early days, we remain true to our belief in putting the customer first and accomplishing the mission, however necessary.
